Continuing Professional Devlopment
in Gestalt Therapy in the Group Context
The Centre for Humanistic
Psychology and Counselling was established in 1988 when, in conjunction with the
School of Social Studies at Exeter College, it first ran introductory courses in
Gestalt Therapy, Humanistic Psychology and Counselling Skills
Since that time it has
undergone major revision and is now one of the South West's leading independent
training providers in the field of Gestalt Therapy,
offering specialist trainings designed to professional specifications.
Additionally, it offers a range of taster and introductory courses plus personal
growth weekends with a training element.
Graduates of the Centre's
professional training programmes now practice successfully in the private,
voluntary and public sectors throughout the county and indeed in many parts of
the country.
The Centre staff consists entirely of
practising Humanistic Counsellors and Gestalt Psychotherapists, all
of whom are highly experienced and qualified in their respective fields
